A4 Size in Pixels at 300 DPI (and Other Paper Sizes)

Exact pixel dimensions for A4, US Letter, and Tabloid at 300 DPI — plus bleed canvas sizes.

Designers search paper sizes in pixels because design apps ask for pixel canvases, not millimetres. At 300 DPI, these are the standard trim sizes:

Quick reference (300 DPI trim)

Always confirm whether your template expects trim or bleed size. Commercial print often adds 0.125 in bleed on each side.

Why A4 ≠ Letter

A4 is slightly narrower and taller than US Letter. Swapping them in a template causes unexpected cropping in PDF exports and gang sheets.

Calculate any DPI

Pixels = inches × DPI. Use the Paper Size in Pixels Calculator for A3, 12×18, 13×19, or custom DPI (150 for posters, 600 for fine art tests).

Bleed example (US Letter)

Trim 2550 × 3300 px at 300 DPI. With 0.125 in bleed per side, document size becomes 2625 × 3375 px. The Bleed & Safe Area Calculator generalizes this for any trim box.
